Description:
Fort Dodge Animal Health (FDAH), a division of Wyeth, commissioned The Clark Enersen Partners for the conceptual planning, master planning, and design of a 201,500 SF multidiscipline research center. The campus was designed to be the global research and development center for the company. The planning included 50,000 SF of office space, 40,000 SF of biological research laboratories (including BSL 2), 40,000 SF of pharmaceutical research laboratories, and 70,000 SF of support spaces. The Science & Research Design Group worked with 10 FDAH department directors and researchers that included 20 separate technical groups, six facilities-related groups, and approximately 220 total employees in the design of the new facility. The new facility was sited on a 32-acre green field site in the Kansas Bioscience Authority Research Park. Fort Dodge Animal Health, a division of Wyeth was a $1 billion a year company and leading global manufacturer and distributor of animal health products for the companion animal, equine, bovine, swine, and poultry industries. New Research & Development Center plans were abandoned following a buy-out by Boehringer Ingelheim.
