Description:
The Science and Research Design Group designed the three-story facility to meet stringent European Community (EC) standards for producing viral and bacterin products for world-wide distribution. Central services, located between viral and bacterin production, provides support in media preparation, material storage, and glassware washing/sterilization, as well as shipping and receiving. Each area has its own entrance, and human interchange between the areas is prohibited to avoid cross contamination. A 20-foot high concrete wall separates the new commons building with its conference facilities, supervisory offices, employee lounge, cafeteria, and landscaped courtyard from the secure manufacturing facility.
