The National Swine Research and Resource Center is a state-of-the-art specific pathogen free (SPF) laboratory and production facility to create genetically engineered transgenic and knockout pigs for human disease research and to establish a worldwide repository for cryogenically preserved, valuable genetic swine models. The facility and research subjects produced are having an immediate and profound impact on human disease research at a world-wide scale.
