Project:
Dalton Cardiovascular Research Center Addition & Renovation-University of Missouri - Columbia

Project Type:
Addition & Renovation

Description:
The Science and Research Design Group worked with representatives of the Dalton Cardiovascular Research Center to program and design a renovation and addition that facilitates and promotes the study of cardiovascular exercise, hypertension, diabetes, heart failure, renal failure, cystic fibrosis, membrane research, and neural control of circulation. Behavioral research is accomplished through the extensive use of laboratory animals housed within the complex. The renovation involved an unfinished high-bay space that was converted into state-of-the-art research laboratories and investigative offices. A high priority was placed on creating collaborative, interactive laboratory space while improving the building circulation and the overall egress plan.
